To identify the exact link, you will need to address to the history of the browser, where all the pages you visited are stored. In this article I’m going to tell how to find history on Mozilla Firefox and clear it.
The history is a special menu of Firefox, where you can learn what sites you have visited for the last period. If more than a year have passed since you visited the appropriate the web-resource, the information about it is deleted from the “History” menu, and you won’t be able to recover it, thus you would need to take care of restoring the data in time. All the links in the history are divided on categories depending on the period you visited them last time, so it’s very handy and comfortable to find the suitable link following the timeline.
New “Library” form is opened. As you may notice, in here it is much easier to handle the collection of the history links, as far as they are strictly separated on those, which are being accessed today, last 7 days, last month, last half a year and even earlier. In order to open the link, simply click on it with the primary mouse button.
What other options are available in the “Library” form. At first you may apply a different sorting method on additional parameters, like tags, location, most recent visit, visit count, description, etc. In order to do this, click “Views” button on the top panel and select the “Sort” menu item. After that different sorting methods are represented on the screen, where you can select the required option.
One more useful function is the ability to copy the appropriate link to the clipboard. After that copying you may paste the link into the text editor or e-mail by simple using the “Ctrl-V” hotkey combination. In order to copy the link into the clipboard select the proper link in the “Library” form and click “Organize” -> “Copy” menu item or use the “Ctrl-C” combination.
Additional feature is working with history in distinct sidebar. In order to open it on the previously described menu click “View history sidebar” and the sidebar will pop up in the left part of the active window.
In here only two first options interest us: “Browsing Download History” and “Form Search History”. The main history links as we know it are considered under the “Browsing Download History” check box, so mark it up before completing the cleaning process. In the upper “Time range to clear field” you may define the period, for which the history will be removed. The larger the period, the more links will be dropped. In order to start the cleaning procedure, click the “Clear Now” button.
As you can see, the description of the procedure “How to clear history on Mozilla Firefox” is absolutely clear and transparent. Also finding the corresponding link in the library is quite simple, so you definitely will not get lost in the appearing menus and pop-up forms.
